Jane O’Shaughnessy CPA
I am a certified public accountant with more than 15 years of experience specializing in individual tax preparation as well as small business accounting and tax preparation. I hold an undergraduate degree from Xavier University and an MBA from Ohio Dominican University, and I worked for the Columbus City Tax Department before founding O’Shaughnessy CPA.
Still awake? Ok, good. Now that we have the serious, professional stuff out of the way, here’s the fun stuff: I have worked at both the Columbus Zoo and the Cincinnati Zoo, and when I’m not working with people, I’m working with animals (which of those groups includes my kids depends on the day).
Over the years, I’ve been bitten by a zoo-full of creatures, but the most notable bites have come from a kinkajou (which is a rainforest mammal known as “the honey bear”) and an African giant toad (which is a toad that’s giant and from Africa).
In fact, I’m so good with animals that my four-year-old neighbor thinks I can bring squirrels back to life. For the record, I cannot. (I’m also really good with four-year-olds.)
I’m exceptionally skilled at embarrassing my teenage kids, a talent that comes naturally to me. Not unrelated, I can recite Airplane! and Blues Brothers from beginning to end, and I love to sing “Free Fallin’” to our cats.
What else should you know about me? I love piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. And I look forward to getting to know you and your favorite cocktails/weather patterns!
